How to make an Aperol Spritz

It’s Thirsty Thursday again at the Konkin household and we are going to a patio party where I’ve been asked to make a special cocktail for the group. Luckily, I know just the thing! A couple weeks ago, my friend Courtney introduced me to this amazingly refreshing and zesty cocktail and I was blown away! Apparently it has been a big hit in Italy since the fifties, so why am I only finding out about it now???? It is now one of the Konkin’s favourite summer patio pounders, so I’m going to show you how it’s made.

Instructions:
1. Grab a glass & fill with ic. I prefer a wine glass, but a short cocktail glass works just fine.
2. Fill with 3 parts Prosecco D.O.C.
3. Fill with 2 parts Aperol
4. Fill with 1 part (or splash) Soda Water or similar
5. Garnish with a slice of orange. Optional but highly recommended.

There you have it! It’s so easy and it tastes REALLY GOOD!!!!
